The 3 Day Shakeology Cleanse:

Day 1
Day 2
Final Day

Day 1

I started a 3 day Shakeology Cleanse yesterday. Basically, the program works like this, you replace your 3 meals with a Shakeology shake, then for dinner you have a salad with some chicken. This 3 day cleanse will help detoxify your body, and help you lean up and drop a few pounds of fat over the course of 3 days. For the first day, I felt great, wasn’t hungry more than usual, and felt good all day. Energized and ready to tackle the day.

I did miss my morning run, but I made it up in the evening. I ran 4 miles and then followed it up with a relaxed P90X KenpoX workout. I could really feel the difference in energy with taking 3 shakes. My normal day is a shake in the morning with a banana and peanut butter. But during the cleanse, I’m taking Chocolate Shakeology by itself without any added ingredients. In the morning and in the evening, I used the blender to make my shake. At lunch I used the shaker cup.
Starting Weight: 194.8

Starting Measurement: 33 3/4

Here is a break down of my food intake (I varied a little due to a late night) and a breakdown of my calories burned from exercise.

I will update tomorrow with my day 2. So far, I only got 4 hours of sleep, but I don’t feel tired or sluggish.

Day 2

I completed the 2nd day of a 3 day Shakeology Cleanse. I am feeling great, I was surprised at my energy levels after only 4 hours of sleep Monday night. My workouts are going good too, even with the less calories, my running is going well. I am also surprised that I’m not feeling famished with the reduced calorie intake. Usually, my normal day consists of an average of 2500 calories, so, I’m intrigued that cutting my intake in half has still left me feeling full and not feeling wasted after working out.

Out of curiosity I did weigh myself this morning, and was astonished with what I saw after only 2 days. I will save the totals for my final weigh in on my Day 3 report. I would have expected these results from spending 4+ hours working out, not the smaller amounts of time spent.

Here are my Day 2 Calorie stats.

Tuesday Meals

Breakfast – Shakeology – 140 Calories
Snack – small apple – 60 calories
Lunch – Shakeology – 140 Calories
Snack – Large apple – 100 calories
Snack – 20 Cashews – 200 calories
Dinner – Shakeology – 140 calories, Salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber with balsalmic vinegar dressing) – 110 calories, 1 Can of Tuna – 100 calories

Meal total = 990 calories consumed

Tuesday Exercise

6 Mile evening run = 820 calories burned

Final Day

I completed the 3 Day Shakeology Cleanse, and wow is all I can say. The results are much bigger than I imagined. Here is a summary of the program. You have 3 shakeology shakes in place of your meals. You can have a small fruit snack in between. For Dinner include a salad with some oil dressing and some protein. Also make sure you drink plenty of water.

So, day 3 went the same as the previous 2 days. I didn’t feel overly hungry, I got a morning run in for the first time during the 3 days and still felt really good. I also fit in an AbripperX session in the evening. I took it easier than normal for abripper. In the morning I did add a banana in with my shakeology for a few extra calories. Then for lunch I used the shaker cup, and ended out the day with a VitaMix prepared shake.

On the 3rd day the thing that I noticed most was that I was thirstier than the previous 2 days, so I ended up drinking more water than the previous days. Here are my Wednesday stats, it was the least caloric day of the 3 and the first day that I burned more in exercise than I consumed.

Wednesday Meals

Breakfast – Shakeology – 140 cals, Banana – 109 Cals
Snack – Small Apple – 60 cals
Lunch – Shakeology – 140 cals
Snack – Large Apple – 100 cals
dinner – Shakeology – 140 cals, Salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber with balsamic vinegar dressing) – 110 calories, 1 Can of Tuna – 100 calories

Total Calories Consumed = 899 calories

Wednesday Exercise

5.25 Mile morning run = 850 calories burned
AbripperX – 150 Calories burned

Total Calories burned = 1000 calories

Now for the final results… I was amazed when I weighed myself this morning! I had thought maybe I would drop 3 pounds total, a pound per day. No, I dropped an astounding 10.6 pounds in 3 days! Plus I never bonked, I worked out all 3 days, running each day, and getting additional exercise in 2 of the 3 days. I was energized and ready to go each day. Tuesday night I only got 4 hours of sleep and still felt great on Wednesday.

So here are my stats for the 3 day Cleanse

Beginning Weight 194.8
Ending Weight 184.2
Total pounds Lost – 10.6
Starting belly measurement – 33 3/4″
Ending Belly measurement – 33″
Total inches lost – 3/4″

Total calories consumed – 3159
Total Calories burned in exercise – 2870

All I can say is wow, what a program. I love shakeology as a breakfast replacement, it is effective, cost & time efficient. For coaches, it comes out to be $3 per meal. It is packed with 70+ ingredients that really help your body get what it needs. You can use it as a meal replacement to tone up and drop weight. Or you can use it as a meal enhancement to get your daily vitamins, nutrients, detoxify, and get some great energy to tackle the day. Here is a short video that highlights Shakeology.
