A couple weeks ago I applied to be a product tester for Nike. I thought that maybe I would be able to get into the program, but I heard that test sizes for Men are usually 9’s and 10’s. I just got an email that I was declined.Â
Thank you for your interest in Nike Product Testing. Although you may be able to provide us with excellent feedback on the performance of our products, your athletic profile does not match our current testing needs. You are welcome to reapply in six months.
We appreciate your interest in Nike Product Testing.
I think that my size 14s were probably just too much for the program. So if you are interested in the program (you will have better luck if you wear a 9/10 for men or a 7/8 for women.) Check out the requirements below and apply at: https://producttesting.nike.com
Requirements:
- Athletes must be 15 years old or older to be eligible to become a “Nike Product Tester” of Adult sized footwear.
- Any child wearing shoe size infant 1 Child to grade school 7 Youth is eligible to test Nike Kids footwear. Parent or guardian’s presence and help will be required during kids testing.
- Collegiate (NCAA) athletes are not permitted to test Nike footwear through this program.
- You must be a United States resident to be eligible to participate in this program.
- You must have a valid email address so Nike Product Testing can contact you.
- Timelines are critical. You must be able to meet specified feedback and shoe return deadlines.
- This program is voluntary. You will have to return all test footwear to Nike.
Make sure you read the Confidentiality statements too
Good Luck, and let me know if you are one of the lucky chosen ones. On a side note, I can reapply in 6 months, so I need to shave my feet into a size 10.

sigh. how i wish i was back in the states.
I signed up, I wear a 10, let you know if I get in.
My guess is that I won’t get accepted because I’m a slightly faster runner. I bet they tend to look for the average runner, the guy running a 4:30 Marathon, 23 Minutes 5k, etc.
Good luck RunColo, I think they are looking for people to be able to log a lot of miles in their shoes and give good reports. I think if you are logging 40+ per week they would be interested. Another good thing is that you have the magical testing shoe size of either a 9 or 10 for men. My wife heard back in 2 days wereas my denied email took 2 weeks. I really thought I was in, oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
Keep us posted on your results
I have had 2 people contact me and tell me they were accepted into the program. So, there are lucky ones out there. Good luck to all that apply and congrats to all that are accepted. One helping factor could be if you currently are a non Nike wearer…. hmm….
I got selected, heard back the next day (today). I also put that I am currently wearing Nike Zoom Elites.
I’ll keep you posted.
sweet congrats RunColo!
Update, they are sending me a pair of Nike Air Moto Max. It’s definitley a heavier shoe than I normally wear, but will still be fun to try out.
sweet, it is nice running in a pair of shoes that you might not on the other hand ever buy or wear. That has happened to me on the Nike Elites and Nike Jasaris. They were given to me and I really like both of the shoes. Have fun with the new shoes!
